At Midhurst Primary School we aim to help children with special educational needs or disabilities feel secure, happy and valued as individuals. Our primary purpose is to integrate pupils with SEN or disabilities into the academic and social life of the school. We ensure that we encourage and inspire all pupils to enable them to reach their full potential in life. It is important to us that we ensure all learners including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities have access to a wide range of enhanced experiences in our curriculum that are challenging and inspiring.
We are fortunate to have our very own school Special Educational Needs and Disability Co-ordinator (SENDCo) at MPS. Mrs Louise Chance works every Monday, Tuesday afternoons and Friday mornings and can be contacted via the school office email: office@midhurstprimary.co.uk or by telephone 01730 813526 should you have any queries with regards to SEND.
Complaints from parents of children with SEN about the school’s support are managed within the scope of the school’s complaints procedure, see Complaints Policy. The local authority can be contacted if this complaint is not dealt with adequately through the school procedures – follow link below for further information:

Where parents have a specific complaint about the Education Health and Care (EHC) plan procedures, or about the content of the EHC plan, they should contact the Local Authority in accordance with the SEND Code of Practice.
